Summer’s almost here and there’s so many places to go, so many friends to meet. We really are lucky here in San Jose.
We’ve got our monthly San Jose Bike Party Rides, Guerillaz in Da Mixx, San Jose Kidz Bike Party, the annual Ladies Ride, Ride to the Starlight Cinema, Raven Bike Community Projects, Bike Parking at the Zero1 festival and at other downtown summer events, and more. Here’s just a sampling…

San Jose Kidz Bike Party
Selected Sundays in the Summer (Ride starts at 9:00 am ends at noon)
. San Jose Kidz Bike Party Rides are typically two to three miles long on quiet neighborhood Sunday streets.
Children from five to 12 are welcome to join us. We hold a BBQ lunch afterwards and bring out the Ice Cream Bike just for fun. Come join our SJKBP Facebook page to learn more.

Other Rides and Events
- Zero1 presents the LAST Festival Friday June 6th to Saturday, June 7. San Jose Bike Valet will be on hand to Valet Park your bicycle. Look for our logo and yellow barricades. Join our Facebook page to learn more.
- July 30 (Wednesday) – San Jose Downtown Association and San Jose Bike Party Present Starlight Cinema. “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure†at St. James Park @ 7pm.
Watch as Pee-Wee Herman sets out across the U.S. on the adventure of his life to retrieve his beloved bike, which was stolen from him in broad daylight. This was Tim Burton’s directorial debut and a stepping stone for Paul Reubens and composer Dany Elfman. - August 2 – Ladies Ride (Saturday) – 5:00 pm to 7 pm
This ride is specifically for San Jose Bike Party Ladies and their children under 16. This evening ride will be fun and social. Route to be announced at a later date. - September 13 (Saturday) – New Belgium Brewing presents Tour de Fat in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park (Starts at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm)
All this takes some work, but its a lot of fun. If you’d like to step up and say “Yeah, I’ll help out!”, please do so by attending our Volunteer Meetup and Greetup at Santa Clara’s Central Park on Kiely. We meet at 7:00pm on Monday, June 9, or you can join us for a ride to the park leaving San Jose City Hall Plaza at 6pm. For more info see the event page.
