A Special Thanks to our Raffle Sponsors:
(yes, there’s a raffle this month at regroup 2)
Community Cycles of California – An amazing non-profit bike shop dedicated to helping people in need. They will work on a bike to make it safe, and will even do that work for free if the person really needs it. They organize numerous bike repair clinics and co-sponsored the #lightmeup program with SJ Bike Party.
Bicycle Express – A family owned bike shop in downtown San Jose that’s been here for 35 years; Just a lovely group of people with a deep appreciation and respect for the local biking community.
San Jose Bicycles – It’s a cool bike shop with a chill vibe on Tully road, and one that has a long association with bike party.
Mike’s Bikes of San Jose – They have a shop in Willow Glen with a sleek modern feel, that’s always playing good music and has a huge selection of stylish bike clothing.
Summit Bicycles – Located in The Plant shopping center and open 7 days a week, a very convenient place to get your bike gear or have your bike repaired.
Good Karma Bikes – A used bike shop that runs as a non-profit, and has coordinated 120,000 hours of volunteer time and provided 2.7 million dollars worth of community aid. Over the past 15 years, Good Karma Bikes has sponsored 1100 free bike clinics.
San Jose Odd Fellows – A fraternal organization that’s been in the area since 1856. They’re small but growing, and looking forward to being more involved in the community. The co-leader for this month’s ride, Mason Wolf, is currently the local chapter’s “noble grand” or president.
Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition – Established to create an advocate for cyclists in the region, they partner directly with planning departments, civic leaders and state organizations to ensure that we have well-maintained infrastructure for bikes in our community, and laws protecting the folks that ride them.
Bike Party Gear – San Jose Bike Party’s very own Mark Townsend and David Kincaid (other February co-leader along with Mason) have partnered up to create a retail outfit specifically dedicated to the bike party community. They’re selling shirts through their website and we’ll have to wait and see what they come out with next.
PLEASE LIGHT UP YOUR BIKE. Headlights and Tail Lights are strongly suggested. However, we recommend you light up your whole bike too! Being seen can save your life. Besides, why not make a spectacle of yourself! Bring your own party to bike party! Bike decorations loudly encouraged!
How We Ride!
If you follow these rules, Bike Party will be safe and a positive place for riders, drivers, pedestrians, and the community
Stop at Red Lights.
Stay to the right.
Pack your trash.
Roll past conflict.
Ride sober.
Be nice.
Remember, you are responsible for your own behavior. All participants ride at their own risk. Please Ride Predictably.
What is San Jose Bike Party?
We’re a rolling party that travels between 15-20 miles by bicycle (or scooter, unicycle, tricycle, roller skates, etc!) through the streets of San Jose and the South Bay on the third Friday of every month. Each month features a different starting location and route that remains (somewhat) secret until the week of the ride!
We break the ride into three segments with two party stop regroups where you can get down on the mobile dance floor with Guerillaz In Da Mixx.
Bike Party is awesome because YOU ROLL OUT WITH US. Join us. Bring your crew!
Do you want to help make the magic happen? Message us about how you can help!
We need volunteers to:
– help make sure everybody turns at the right places.
– ride our RAVEN trash trikes.
– help plan each month’s ride!

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, but please, read and follow our “How We Ride” guidelines to keep everyone safe and to keep San Jose Bike Party rolling! We share the road with other vehicles and we frequently ride in the dark.
Having a great time and want to help? We’re always looking for volunteers to help guide riders at corners or to handle other tasks. Talk to any of the “BIRDs” (look for the “bird” logo!) for details. Or you head over to our Donation Page.
