Come one, come all that special time of year is near. Just before summer calls it quits in exchange for fall, we get one last day of fun, adventure, and festive tom-foolery on our bicycles!! Oh, and did I mention the beer festival? That’s right ladies and gentlemen, it’s time yet again to make the journey from the South Bay up the peninsula to Golden Gate Park in SF for the 2013 Tour de Fat Festival! Tour de Fat is brought to you by a partnership between the good people from New Belgium Brewing Co. as well as the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. So if you go and have a good time just be sure to thank all the great volunteers who make it possible.
Those of you who have gone in years past may already know why we so lovingly refer to the event as Bicycle Christmas and for those who don’t well, the chance to experience it does come but once a year. We will be taking Caltrain up to SF and from there we will embark on a guided ride through the streets of San Francisco to Golden Gate Park. Space on the Caltrain may be limited so to accommodate as many riders as possible we will be taking both the 10am train as well as the 10:30 Baby Bullet train. Look for the Bike Party group in the southern most car, brings snacks/beverages to share. Both trains will arrive in SF at the King & 4th st Station by 11:45am. Please RSVP using the Facebook. Hope to see you all there!
